I’m a mechanical engineer specializing in fluid dynamics whose research sits at the intersection of physics and biology. By combining computer simulations, microfluidic experiments, and machine learning models, I probe the biophysics of droplet-cell interactions that shape disease transmission, and bubble-cell dynamics central to biotech and biofuels. Right now I’m (1) quantifying how flow-induced stresses damage human red blood cells, and (2) pinpointing the hydrodynamic conditions that promote heart cell (cardiomyocyte) maturation for next-generation heart-tissue engineering.
